In Odisha, Nandankanan is famous for wildlife, national Zoological Park,White Tiger, Asiatic lion, Indian crocodiles and Nilgiri langur. It also contains a botanical garden and part of it has been declared a sanctuary.
It is located at a distance of 20 kms from Bhubaneshwar. Nandankanan justifies its literal meaning i.e. "Garden of Pleasure" or can say garden of God.
