Dhauli hill Odisha - ଧଉଳି ଓଡ଼ିଶା
Dhauli Hill (Dhaulagiri) is situated near Daya River, 8 km south of Bhubaneswar in Odisha India. Dhauli hill holds the distinction of being the place where Ashoka, the Mauryan Emperor renounced war and embraced Buddhism. The peace pagoda (Shanti Stupa) remains at the top of the tourist choices for the delicate structure of the stupa and the monastery near it. The Saddharma Vihar monastery and the Shanti Stupa make the Buddhist pilgrim a special attraction, and a place to feel eternal peace of mind. The main of the artifacts, ancient and archaeologically invaluable is the Ashokan edicts. These are specific due to the inscriptions, written on rock, some of them by Ashoka himself, and are rare pieces of art. The Dhauli edicts are written in the Prakrit language using the Brahmi script.
The other major attractions of Dhauli Hill include Saddharma Vihar monastery, the ancient sculptures and the some very extraordinary art forms.
The nearest airport and railway station is that of Bhubaneshwar. Dhauli can be reached by Bus, or rented Taxi.

Konark Sun Temple -Odisha
The temple in Orissa is an architectural wonder enhancing the beauty of Konark City.
The Temple is one of the most stunning historic monuments of religious architecture in the world.
Konark Temple is designed with seven horses and twenty four wheels, carrying the Sun God, Surya. A masterpiece of Odisha's medieval architecture, the Sun temple was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1984.
Konark is located about 65 km from Bhubaneswar and 35 km from Puri. An ideal place for tourists, Konark forms one of the three points of the “Golden Triangle of Tourism" in the State of Odisha.
Lingaraja Temple - Odisha
The term 'Lingaraj' suggests 'the king of Lingas', where 'linga' is the phallic form of Lord Shiva .
The remarkable structure of the temple gives the tint of Kalinga style of architecture. The aesthetic sculptures look at their apex in this architectural exhibition. Erected in red sandstone, Lingraj Temple has the stone of the darkest shade. The huge temple complex covers the vast lands of Bhubaneshwar in a stretch. The tall spire of the temple extends to the height of 55 meters and literally, dominates the skyline of Bhubaneshwar. The spacious courtyard comprises 50 small shrines that are dedicated to several Gods of the Hindu pantheon.
The temple is the biggest and finest temple of Odisha.
Jagara or Shiva Ratri or the night of Shiva is a festival held in honour of the God.
It is a Hindu temple dedicated to Harihara, another name for Shiva and
a revered pilgrimage center and the capital of the state of Odisha.
This magnificent temple, dedicated to Shiva, represents the quintessence of the Kalinga type of Hindu architecture. Along with the Raja-Rani Temple, it is the pinnacle of the architectural exhibition at Bhubaneswar. It contains a profusion of sculptural work. It is built of red sandstone which gives it a darkest color.

Atri springs hot water Odisha
Atri is one of the famous and well-known sulfur springs in the state of Odisha. This place is near 15 km west of Khurda district and around 42 km from Bhubaneswar. This hot water is reserved in an artificial pond for the use of people. The circumference of the reservoir is 10 feet with the depth of 15 feet.

Chilka Lake - tourist attraction odisha
Chilka Lake: Chilka Lake is recognized for its exotic splendor and is one of the
largest inland salt-water lagoon not only India, but in the entire Asian continent
stretching over an area of 1,100 sq km. It spread over the Puri, Khurda and Ganjam districts of Odisha.
Chilka Lake is one of India's migratory birds paradise. It is a heaven for birds in East India.There are more than 150 species of migratory and residential birds here. Many rare and endangered birds are also in the list of birds that regularly visit Chilka.These groups include Polyzoa, Porifera, Protozoa, Coelenterata, Isopoda, Echiura, Chaetognatha, Platyhelminthes, Insecta, Crustacea, Archinida and Mollusca to Fishes, Reptiles, Amphibians, mammals and birds. Boating and fishing facilities are also available in this lake.
Chilka Lake is dotted with some wonderful small islands that make the lake more picturesque. Kalijai is an important pilgrimage place as the Temple of Goddess Kalijai is situated here.
The nearest airport to the lake is in Bhubaneswar around 120 km away and the nearest railway station is in Balugaon and Rambha.

Bhairavi temple - Odisha
Berhampur is famous for a temple dedicated to Maa Bhairavi. It has become an important Sakti Pitha Venerable for the fisherman community that lives in nearby villages Mantridi. Tourists from almost all parts Odisha Andhra Pradesh visit this holy shrine every day. The idols of several goddesses and gods are enshrined in the temple premises. The important dates with the deity are the Sankranties of the Hindu calendar, and all Tuesdays.

Odisha tourism - Gopalpur
Gopalpur is situated on the Bay of Bengal is about 16km far from Berhampur Odisha. It is one of the most pristine beaches of Odisha. White surf splashing on the golden sands makes it one of the finest beaches on the eastern coast. The cool breeze of the sea gives a freshness to the intense hit of the summer It is famous for its coconut trees and and sand dunes which separate the beach from the blue waters act as the perfect setting for peace and tranquility. It was a famous and popular seaport during the British rule. There are several bungalows and mansions belonging to the European merchants give it’s a colonial look. Watching the life on the beach is also exciting. Gopalpur famous for its magnificent beach and was discovered as a perfect winter resort.
Gopalpur is well connected by NH 5. It is around 16KM far from Berhampur. Regular bus services are available. Taxis and Autorickshaws are also available.

Odisha tourism - Taratarini temple
Tara Tarini Peeth is situated on the top of a small Taratarini hill near Purusottampur of Ganjam District. It is around 30 kms from Berhampur. The Twin Goddesses Tara and Tarini are worshiped as manifestations of Adi Shakti. Everyday devotees from different parts of Odisha come here.
River Rushikulya flows at the foot of the hill. From the hill top down to the bank of river Rushikulya and farms look very beautiful. The hills height is approximately 708ft. and the total area spreading over 180 Acres of land. The hill is popularly known as Taratarini Hill. There are 999 steps on the front side of the hill leading to the temple and also a road for vehicle on the backside of the hill facilitating devotees to reach at the Pitha. Best time to Visit: October to April

The Buses or Trains will take 2 and half of hour to reach Berhampur.

The language spoken by the majority of the people is Odia. The landscape of Odisha is dotted with a large number of temples.'The Lingaraj temple at Bhubaneshwar,Sun Temple at Konark,Jagannath Temple at Puri are famous.
There are 30 districts in Odisha. Bhubaneswar is the capital of Odisha.
According to the 2001 census of India, the total population of Odisha is 36,706,920, of which 18,612,340 (50.89%) are male and 18,094,580 (49.11%) are female, or 972 females per 1000 males. This represents a 16.25% increase over the population in 1991. The population density is 236 per km² and 85.01% of the people live in rural areas and 14.99% live in urban areas.
